Online retail mart, AbaNaijaMade, debuts

Poised to make an impressive impact in the already saturated online market space, an indigenous online retail outlet, AbaNaijaMade has been launched.

The launching of the online mart (www.abanaijamade.com.ng), however, was with an unprecedented edge over its contemporaries which makes it unique and different from the rest.

According to the Chief Promoter of the online mart, Mr. Ifeanyi Anucha, the need to refocus people’s mind set towards made-in-Nigeria products; and reposition Nigeria as a worthwhile destination capable of competing favourably in global market, in the light of the recent foreign exchange crisis which is currently taking its toll on the Nigerian economy, informed the resolve to go the extra mile. This he said was meticulously formulated and is now being implemented to the letter with a view to promoting the ‘can do’ spirit and ‘buy naija made’ in the country.

Mr. Anucha, who stated that the Abanaijamade is an indigenous flagship in online retail trading, also added that the mart is all out to trade strictly in Nigerian made goods/products – ranging from fashion items, consumables, home/living materials, electronics etc.

He noted that it is an online market place that brings the buyers, local sellers, producers and manufacturers together in order to patronize and encourage locally made goods/products with a view to building a stronger and virile economy for the country.

It would be recalled that the Federal Government has thrown its weight behind the promotion of Made-in-Nigeria products as a verifiable way to re-route the nation’s drifting economy back on track.

President Muhammadu Buhari, at a recent function organized by the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) stated that, “the promotion of Made-in-Nigeria products lies at the heart of the present administration’s efforts to lead the country out of troubled times and lay a firm foundation for the future.” By Tunde Osowe
